Publication of the VIIIth JIA 2015 proceedings

At this moment you can access to the paper submission guidelines for the proceedings of the VIIIth Young Researchers in Archaeology Conference, which will be published as a number of the ArqueoArte collection of CHAM. The edition will be in digital and paper format, although the paper edition will be much reduced, only for its distribution in university libraries, schools and other research institutions.

The deadline for the paper submission is the 2nd of April 2016. The articles must be sent directly to our email address If you have any doubt or additional question, do not hesitate to contact us for this same e-mail address.

Round tables guidelines

In order to enhance the debate you can do the download of the round tables guidelines where are summarized the main goals, ideas and questions related to each one of the round tables:

JIA, 2nd Call

The call for traditional sessions and round tables ended March 31st . During this past month the Organizing (CHAM and IEM) and the Scientific Committee selected the delivered proposals, and came up with a final list of: 13 sessions and 4 roundtables.

In this second call we invite all the non-doctorate students and researchers to send their abstracts of communications, posters, illustrations and video or audio works that match the various themes addressed in the next VIIIth edition of JIA. The deadline to send the abstracts is July 10th 2015.

At the same time, we open the inscriptions to all the people who want to attend this event.

JIA is back!

Once again the JIA Conference is being prepared! It's a meeting that since 2008 has been held annually and brought together young researchers promoting the discussion and joint reflection on several archaeological topics. This year the VIII JIA will take place in Lisbon, in the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and will be organized by CHAM.

This is the official site of the JIA Conference and here you will find all information related to the event. The release of web page matches the 1st call, which sets the conditions and deadline for the acceptance of proposals to organize sessions and round tables until March 31st 2015.
